Satisfy

January 8, 2008

Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives…..Psalm 90:14 My prayer is that I will be satisfied every morning with God’s unfailing love. The love that sent His only Son to die on the cross for our salvation and healing. The love that says “Love your God with all your heart, soul and mind….and to love your neighbor as yourself.”

To always sing a song of joy for God’s love for me. To sustain me through everything that I will experience in my life.

Happy fasting!

Truth

God is Truth
John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Grace – the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God.

Deut 32:4 “He is the rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of TRUTH, and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.”

In a world that is filled with injustices; God is truth, justice and righteous.

Psalm 25:10 “All the paths of the LORD are mercy and TRUTH to such as KEEP His covenant and His testimonies.”

Psalm 40:11 “Do not withhold your tender mercies from me oh LORD let your lovingkindness and your TRUTH continually preserve me.”

Mercy – By the atoning sacrifice of Christ a way is open for the exercise of mercy towards the sons of men, in harmony with the demands of truth and righteousness.

Psalm 43:3 “Oh send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle.”

God’s truth lights the way for us to follow. He leads us to a relationship with him in His dwelling place.

John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 15:26 “But when the Helper comes whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of TRUTH who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of me.”

We read in God’s word that He is Truth. Jesus is Truth. The Helper (Holy Spirit) is Truth. We have read the bible ourselves, set in church and listened to what God has given the Pastor to speak and have contemplated what we have heard and there are those who still wonder what we should be doing.

We have the Trinity of God (TRUTH) living in us. My prayer is that I see God move through me. I am reading in Acts to understand what happened and how I as a lifetime Christian make a difference in my world, family, work, neighborhood…..

Acts 1:1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

The Holy Spirit Promised

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”Christ taught on the things concerning the Kingdom of Heaven. Things that matter like: salvation, baptism, healing, deliverance…… The first work the disciples did after receiving the power of the Holy Spirit was to show the people in the world a way to the truth of God. Many were counted as believers after the first evangelical service. The Holy Spirit testifies of Christ and gives us power; Christ brings us into a relationship with the Father.

Things taught of the Kingdom of Heaven:

Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Faher and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Matthew 10:8 “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”

We have a God of TRUTH that gives us:

Grace – the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God.

Righteousness – without guilt or sin

Justice -is rendering to every one that which is his due. It has been distinguished from equity in this respect, that while justice means merely the doing what positive law demands, equity means the doing of what is fair and right in every separate case.

Mercy – something that gives evidence of divine favor; blessing.

Perfect – entirely without any flaws, defects, or shortcomings.
